Continuing with our theme of visiting barbers in different countries, Mike was once again in the chair although wasn't quite confident enough to have as close a shave as he had experienced in Morocco.

Jour de Tabaski à Bamako : Tabaski in Bamako
First day in Mali and we happened to arrive for the festival of 'Tabaski', the celebration approximately 70 days after Ramadan. At the bed and breakfast we were staying at along with around 50 other people we were witness to the sacrifice of 2 goats, 2 different ways - one Morrocan the other Tuareg. The day was then a festivity of cooking, drinking, eating and music. A surprising start to our trip.
